Alabama State Parks Showcase Alabama the Beautiful

Frank Jackson State Park

Opp, AL

This 2,000-acre park has a beautiful 1,000-acre lake that brings in anglers from all over the state for bass, bream, crappie, and catfish as it is stocked regularly. It’s a great place to hook up the RV and stroll out onto the island in the lake via the boardwalk or take a cool swim or paddle.

Where to sleep?

Along with RV hookups, there are camper cabins as well as primitive camping sites. What to do? Love to fish? This place is a dream for the bass fishing tournament, especially in April. The kids can play on the playground or stay cool by swimming or paddling in the lake. There are also gentle walking trails.
