“I say half your life is spent trying to get out of a small town and the other half trying to get back to one.”
— unknown
Living in one for most of my life (although different ones) I can tell you I wouldn’t trade it for the big city. The peaceful feeling you get walking the streets of a small town is unmatched. You can duck into the corner coffee shop for a quick jolt of joe or you can leisurely shop the day away. That’s the spark behind this new magazine, we have loved our small town for quiet some time that we felt like other small towns needed a voice, as well.
We attempt to capture the unique places to visit in Alabama we hope you enjoy our efforts.
Our goal is to feature a variety of small towns in Alabama from tiny (like Wedowee) to bigger (like Northport) and points in between (like Eufaula, Wetumpka and Gadsden). Each of these towns are thriving because they are working together and embracing what works for them.
If you are reading this, you have an interest in exploring Alabama and we hope that we are helping you do that. Alabama is a great state, I have called it home for 40 years and all of those years have been embracing the small town life. It may not be fast-paced and have all the amenities, but more often than not, we have what you need.
