WEDO Media Celebrates Martie Duncan and Her Latest Alabama Cookbook
Martie has been a contributor to past issues of Alabama Small Towns and Downtowns as well as Southern Holiday Life. We gave her a break in 2024 because she was working diligently on producing her latest cookbook, “The Alabama 100: Best Recipes, Restaurants and Road Trips.” WEDO Media is proud to call Martie a friend and we are extremely proud of our Alabama Small Towns that have been included in the pages of the hardcover cookbook.
More than 20 cities and small towns that have worked with WEDO Media in 2024 are mentioned in the pages of Duncan’s latest cookbook either in restaurants sharing recipes like Wedowee’s Boondocks Barbecue and Creamery or Hartselle’s The Freight House or Athen’s The Salty Cod.
“We are thrilled Martie chose to include restaurants in Alabama small towns and not just the ‘known’ culinary destinations,” Kelly Caldwell with WEDO Media said. “In our travels throughout the state we have discovered so many great small town restaurants and for those to be celebrated in the pages of this beautiful cookbook is fantastic.”
The Alabama 100 is filled with gorgeous photography, and incredible recipes from restaurants throughout the state. The Alabama 100 also includes lists of must try Alabama staples from restaurants across the state as well. It really is a handy guide to great eats throughout the state displayed in a beautiful hardcover cookbook.
WEDO Media cities and towns that have restaurant recipes shared in The Alabama 100 include:
Anniston - Classic Shrimp and Grits from Classic on Noble
Athens - Shepards Pie from The Salty Cod
