A Drink Perfect For Fall
Mulled Wine-Tammy Lovvorn

INGREDIENTS
Mulled Wine
- 1 bottle (750 ml) red wine, Merlot or Zinfandel
- 1/3 cup honey (more or less to taste)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 orange, sliced
- 4-6 whole cloves
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- Orange, to garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, cranberries, and cloves in a large saucepan. Stir briefly to combine the ingredients. Heat over medium heat to just a simmer and then simmer for 25 minutes. Note if you see steam - lower the temperature.
- Strain into a carafe and serve warm with a fresh slice of orange and a cinnamon stick. Yields 4-6 servings depending on mug size.
