Kentuck Art Center is a hub for creativity and community located in the heart of Historic Downtown Northport, Alabama. Recognized nationally for the annual Kentuck Festival of the Arts, Kentuck is also a year-round destination for all art enthusiasts!

Art Nights
First Thursday each month, 5-8pm
Art Nights are a celebration of art and community and serve as the opening reception for exhibits in our three on-campus galleries. Art Night attendees can also expect artist talks, pop up shops from local vendors, open artists’ studios, and live music in the Courtyard of Wonders. Art Nights are always free and family-friendly.

Workshops

Kentuck offers all ages opportunities to make and learn! Workshop participants learn to build sculpture with clay, paint with acrylics, sew quilt squares, weave baskets, and more. Check the website for upcoming workshops and summer camps.

The 51st Kentuck Festival of The Arts
October 15-16, 2022
Mark your calendars, because you don’t want to miss this event! The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is nationally recognized for its quality, diversity, and celebration of artistic style ranging from folk to contemporary arts and traditional crafts. Every year, over10,000 people travel from across the country to become immersed in a Southern experience of prolific creativity under the shade of the pine trees in Kentuck Park in Northport, Alabama. The two-day festival has its roots in folk art and features 260+artists, live music, spoken word, activities for children, folk and contemporary craft demonstrations, food trucks, and local craft brews.

Wait, there’s more! - The Kentuck Festival, Art Nights, workshops, and retail shopping are only a small portion of what Kentuck Art Center offers the Tuscaloosa and Northport community. Kentuck is also home to 10 artists’ studios, a community clay studio, and brings art supply kits to underserved children in the local community through Kentuck’s Boxes of Joy.
